The stoneware coaster is handcrafted and hand-painted with a pattern in blue, green and orange.
The pattern radiates from the center and sits inside a green border.
The coaster holds hot or cold beverages. It also works as a small trivet.
Our attraction to particular colors stems from cone photoreceptors sending wavelength information through visual and limbic pathways, affecting our emotional and physiological states (Elliot & Maier, 2014). Soft greens and pastels elicit calming, low-arousal responses; vivid blues heighten alertness and energy; muted oranges and deep reds evoke warm, grounded emotional states; and saturated neutrals support mood during low-sunlight seasons (Palmer & Schloss, 2010; Schloss et al., 2017). People choose colors because they align with the emotional regulation they need. Any product’s palette can meet these visual-emotional needs.
