Who can resist such a happy hippo?  She is smiling because she was hand painted and handmade with love from recycled soda cans by artists in Zimbabwe.

If you're into animal symbolism, hers includes power, emotional depth, birth, motherhood and protection of family.  Even as the second largest mammal on earth, she is a strong swimmer -  Hippo actually means ‘River Horse.'
