Handcrafted Loofah Soap on a Rope Set, 3 Bars

Devised as a set of three loofah soap bars on ropes, this handcrafted bar soap set pairs Renewing (chamomile and honey), Reassuring (wheat, olive, and almond oils), and Restorative (oat, olive, and honey). Vegetable glycerin is often used for sustained hydration.

The oils are saponified with sodium hydroxide, and saponified oils are commonly used to lift dirt and sebum. Honey also helps support hydration. Chamomile and green tea are also commonly used to calm and soothe irritated skin.

Skin care engages touch at each step of a routine, and the step depends on the product. Cleansing products lift surface oils, debris, and bacteria from the skin (Aiello & Larson, 2002). Moisturizing products such as creams, lotions, and balms add emollients that soften the skin surface and help hold in hydration.
