A kit of seven faceted pendulums in seven different stones, with a velvet pouch for storage.
Seven different stones give the hand seven surfaces to compare by feel. Grounding-oriented profiles are characterized by a need for continuous, familiar, or consistent somatosensory information to stay aware of the physical body and the present moment (Dunn, 2001). A kit of faceted pendulums with a cool, smooth surface best fits the preference for carrying an object and rubbing or handling it. Objects like this offer continuous somatosensory input through surface texture, geometry, and thermal properties (McGlone et al., 2014), and consistent input helps people with low registration remain physically oriented within their environment (Dunn, 2001).
