The matte black pillar candle holder measures about 7 inches high and 4.5 inches wide.
The holder takes a candle 3.5 inches in diameter, and a flat padded base sits beneath it. The metal is ground, buffed and polished in several steps.
The holder takes several types of pillar candles on a table, shelf or mantel.
Our tendency to prefer curved, organic shapes stems from the LOC's lower neural processing demands for smooth contours, resulting in reduced amygdala activation and a safe, calming visual state (Bar & Neta, 2006). Angular or sharply defined shapes increase amygdala response because abrupt contour changes signal potential threat, producing a more alert, high-arousal experience. This is why rounded or softly contoured pieces feel visually stable and why individuals choose them when they need calm, ease, or emotional steadiness. Any product with a gentle curvature provides this low-arousal, visual comfort.
