"Tribal Echo" Real Seed and Bronze-Tone Earrings
Yunicrafts' tribal echo earrings are mismatched by design. Both use a large teardrop hoop in antique bronze-tone metal with a hammered, brushed finish, but one carries a large smooth dark seed at its centre and the other a textured Rudraksha-style bead. Three light-coloured open nut shells hang as a fringe below each frame. Now, let's explore some of its special qualities and unique characteristics.
Making the pair deliberately unequal is the decision the whole design rests on. Matched earrings are read as a single object seen twice; two different centres mean each side has to be looked at separately, which is the effect intended here. The hammered bronze finish supports that by scattering light unevenly across the frame rather than reflecting it cleanly, so even the two frames do not catch light identically. The nut shell fringe is the one element repeated on both sides, and it is what holds the pair together as a pair.
The fringe also gives the earrings their sound. Hollow shells hanging free knock against each other as the head turns, producing a soft clicking rather than a metallic one, and the natural materials keep the weight down for a frame of that size. Seed and bead selection varies between pairs.
