The Magic Mushroom ornament is made from hand-cut and hammered brass sheet.
The ornament measures roughly 2 inches wide and 5 inches tall including the hanging cord.
The ornament hangs on a wall or a window.
Our tendency to prefer curved, organic shapes stems from the LOC's lower neural processing demands for smooth contours, resulting in reduced amygdala activation and a safe, calming visual state (Bar & Neta, 2006). Angular or sharply defined shapes increase amygdala response because abrupt contour changes signal potential threat, producing a more alert, high-arousal experience. This is why rounded or softly contoured pieces feel visually stable and why individuals choose them when they need calm, ease, or emotional steadiness. Any product with a gentle curvature provides this low-arousal, visual comfort.
