Lemongrass Essential Oil

The Lemongrass Essential Oil is a pure, undiluted, certified organic essential oil of lemongrass.

The single ingredient is 100% pure lemongrass essential oil, and the aroma is sweet, lemony, green and slightly fruity.

Use the oil in a diffuser according to the diffuser directions.

Aroma activates the olfactory and limbic systems, creating spatial and emotional clarity (Herz, 2016) used to define identity, intention, and environment (Classen, Howes & Synnott, 1994). This experience reduces vigilance making our emotions more stable (McEwen, 2007); it supports mood regulation (Panksepp, 1998), and strengthens cultural belonging (Assmann, 2011).

Essential oils do more than just smell good. For more information on essential oils and their effects, see my Herbarium Distillate Blog.

Pairing Note

Visual: Aroma paired with visual objects becomes cross-modal interpretation. Objects with an aroma become defined sensory cues: their color, form, and presentation shape how the aroma is understood (Lakoff, 1987). Visual-aroma integration strengthens affective response, enhancing pleasure when the scent is preferred and intensifying dislike when it is not (Juslin & Västfjäll, 2008). These responses support memory formation and make the moment easier to recall (Herz, 2016).
