Wind of Summer Reed Diffuser

Our handcrafted Wind of Summer reed diffuser comes in a custom frosted glass vessel with five reed sticks.

The fragrance has apple, pineapple, cherry, nectarine, watermelon, lychee, sandalwood, cedar and amber notes. The reeds release it slowly and evenly for up to 120 days.

Aroma activates the olfactory and limbic systems, creating spatial and emotional clarity (Herz, 2016) used to define identity, intention, and environment (Classen, Howes & Synnott, 1994). This experience reduces vigilance, making our emotions more stable (McEwen, 2007); it supports mood regulation (Panksepp, 1998), and strengthens cultural belonging (Assmann, 2011).

Pairing Note

Visual: Aroma paired with visual objects becomes cross-modal interpretation. Objects with an aroma become defined sensory cues: their color, form, and presentation shape how the aroma is understood (Lakoff, 1987). Visual–aroma integration strengthens affective response—enhancing pleasure when the scent is preferred and intensifying dislike when it is not (Juslin & Västfjäll, 2008). These responses support memory formation and make the moment easier to recall (Herz, 2016).
