Shea butter is often used for intensive emollient sealing, beeswax for shielding and locking in hydration, and cocoa butter for deep moisturization. The scent carries leather and tobacco.

Shaving and beard care engage touch before, during, and after the shave. Pre-shave oils and shaving creams are worked into the skin and hair with warm, slow, circular pressure, which adds glide for the razor (Robbins, 2012). Beard oils, balms, and conditioning blends are massaged through the beard to the skin underneath, adding oils that smooth the hair surface and reduce fiber friction (Robbins, 2012).
